Departure from Corte Inglés…8:10
Departure from Gabriel y Galán…8:20
We'll begin the day by visiting VILLAGARCIA DE CAMPOS. Charles V chose this place to educate his illegitimate son…it was Doña Magdalena de Ulloa who founded the Collegiate Church of San Luis in the 16th century, declared a Cultural Heritage Site. We'll have the honor of getting to know it in depth with a guided tour, including its sacred art museum, where we can enjoy its tapestries, paintings, liturgical ornaments, and a rich collection of Castilian imagery, including works attributed to GREGORIO FERNANDEZ.
Afterwards, we'll head to URUEÑA, known as the "book town," with its well-kept cobbled streets and squares…we'll take a tour of its historic center with a local guide. A visit we'll love.
We'll recharge our batteries at Tiedra, a four-course menu that includes lobster rice.
In the afternoon, we'll visit its treasured castle, where we'll discover the secrets hidden within the walls of this 13th-century fortress. Of course, we'll also visit the hermitage. The temple houses the image of Our Lady of Tiedra, a venerated image by the locals, and we'll be delighted to meet your local guide.
Finally, we'll visit the lavender fields. We'll be seduced by the mauve color, its aroma, and the best photographs... A fantastic end to a full excursion.
